APRIL IS NATIONAL AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH
As many of you already know, Jim and Gail's son, Mike has autism. He is such a beautiful and happy little boy. To look at him you would never think he has this disability, but he does. 1 in 150 children do. That's why we need to find the missing pieces and with your help we can. Mike is attending the Brennen School in Delaware and has shown much progress. He is now playing soccer and he loves to swim. He also gets a huge kick out of amusement park rides. Thank you so much for visiting the page. I hope you will consider making a donation and help our family acheive this years goal of $3,500. You can donate by clicking on the "Sponsor Me Now". Thank you again.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
I hope you have time to watch the video on the left. He sings a beautiful song about how his life has been changed by autism.

Autism knows no racial, ethnic, social boundaries, family income, lifestyle, or educational levels and can affect any family, and any child.
FACTS:
~ autism affects 1 in 150 births and almost 1 in 94 boys
~ as many as 1.5 million Americans today have some form of autism
~ it's the fastest growing developmental disability @ a rate of 10-17% annually
~ it costs $90 billion annually to care for persons with autism and that figure is projected to increase to $200-400 billion within ten years.
While there is no cure for autism, there is hope!
