Thank you to all who helped to make the Alabama Walk Me Home 5K Walk a success this year. $2451 was raised at the event to go along with the already donated and pledged amounts of $5141 to make the total raised this year $7592. There may be more checks in the mail to be added later. There is no doubt this will become an annual event and we have 12 months to work on the next one.

We now turn our attention to helping Alabama Foster Families who lost their homes and hundreds who have had to be relocated because of damage to their homes or because of loss of power. These familes have suffered greatly and we want to do what we can in some small way to help them get back on their feet. We will be accepting donations which we will get to the foster families as soon as possible in the form of gift cards they can use to restock food supplies.  Call 256-507-3273 or check the www.afapa.org website for more information.
