Benefiting Water 1st International
Help support people in need of safe water and toilets by participating in one of our events around the country or supporting one of our fundraisers.
You, your family, your office, or a group of friends can set a fundraising goal, helping one person, a family, or an entire village in need of safe water. And we make the fundraising part easy by helping you create your own online fundraising page. Below are some fundraising goals for you to think about, but remember that any amount helps us reach our goal of safe water and toilets for all.
$70 provides safe water and a toilet for one child for life
$400 provides safe water and a toilet for an entire family for life
$5,000 provides safe water and toilets for an entire community for life
Getting started is easy
It only takes a few minutes to register for a CARRY 5 event and also create your personal, online CARRY 5 Team Fundraising Page:
- Click the Get Started button above
- Select your event and register
- If your CARRY 5 team wants to raise money online, you can also create an online fundraising page. It only takes a few minutes, and it’s fun! Customize the text and the photo on your page to express your passions and your purpose.
- If you don’t want to create a team fundraising page now, you can come back and do it later - just remember your FirstGiving registration number.
- Post your page on MySpace or Facebook. Send the link out to your friends, family, colleagues – anyone you think will help you reach your goal.
Are you joining a team that's already been created? As you register or create your fundraising page, you will be asked if you’d like to join or add a team. Follow the steps and you’ll be automatically on the team. After you’ve created your fundraising page you can still join or change your team by going to your account.
Share one of our videos on your page, or create your own video. Our videos are the most popular section of our website – the visual images are a great way to help people understand this issue. You can post any of our videos on your online fundraising page. Visit our YouTube channel where you can see all our videos and share them with friends.

Donating with a personal check: Firstgiving only accepts credit cards. If someone would rather donate via personal check, please make checks payable to Water 1st and mail them to the address below. You can include the check amount in the "amount raised offline" section on your fundraising page!
