As many of you know I have been a volunteer massage therapist with the Heart Touch Project for the past few years providing compassionate touch therapy to men, women and children suffering with life threatening illnesses, stigma of their disease and isolation.  Having just completed the infant massage instructor certification program, I will soon volunteer at the Children's Hospital offering families support through infant massage instruction and training as they try to cope with the stress of their little ones in the Retinoblastoma unit.  I have been inspired and moved by every individual and each family with whom I've had the fortunate opportunity of meeting. Through each experience, I have learned the vital essence of love and how we cannot survive without it.  It is my hope to share and give to others who have never known or felt it.

Recently, I have been selected out of a number of candidates to join a small elite team of Heart Touch Volunteers to travel to Thailand to teach caregivers (of various orphanages) how to provide massage and to provide massage to AIDS orphans.  During our two week stay, we will be visiting a new orphanage every day to reach as many children as we can.

There are 380,000 Aids orphans living in Thailand, more than five times that of any other nation in Southeast Asia.

Regardless of the reason whether the children have been orphaned by AIDS or whether they were turned away by their families, these children are alone and lost. They believe that they are worthless, unwanted and unloved. I cannot imagine anything worse.  We are so fortunate to have family and friends who regularly remind us that we are loved and that we have support when needed.

As there is no funding for this project, I ask your assistance in sponsoring me for this incredible journey.  Please help me share some happiness, love and compassion with these precious children who are desperately in need.  I cannot do this without your support.  Please give what you can ... IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE. (There is not a minimum or maximum limit on the donation amount).
