My personal message:

Wildfire was born on March 24th, 2008. Wildfire is very lucky to be alive. Shirley Puga rescued Wildfire's mother and brother from a Fallon, Nevada feedlot a day before they were to be crammed onto a truck and taken to Mexico to be slaughtered. Tenille, Wildfire's mother, was pregnant.

Captain (Wildfire's brother), a young nursing colt at the time, would not have survived the brutal trip to Mexico. The horses are deprived of food and water for the 3 days it takes to make the trip. If a horse goes down, it is trampled to death.

On arrival in Mexico, the horses who are still alive are killed by plunging a knifeblade into their spines repeatedly until they collapse, hoisting the horse up by it's leg, and slitting it's throat. They are then butchered and the meat is sent to Europe and Japan for human consumption.

Wildfire was a suprise baby. We see Wildfire as a miracle of life, as an ambassador for all of the 30,000 unfortunate horses who are shipped to Mexico and Canada yearly for slaughter.

We at Circle L Ranch have 80 horses, most of whom would otherwise have been slaughtered. Our horses are old and young, rideable and crippled. Our horses  deserve to live out their natural lives at the ranch with dignity or to find a home where they will be fed and cared for as horses should be.

Please help us in our quest to save as many horses as we can from the horrors of slaughter. Hay is expensive. Veterinary bills are expensive. You can help! Even $25 makes a big difference!

Circle L Ranch is a 501C3 non-profit rescue. All donations are tax-deductible. Please visit our website at www.circlel.org. More pictures at www.picasaweb.google.com/circlelranch.

Plan on attending our May 4th "Afternoon at Cattletrack" in Scottsdale. We will have horses, goats, dogs, and our cow Jewels at the Cattletrack Arts Studio for you and your children to meet (and maybe adopt). We will have a silent auction with artwork and other items as well as delicious refreshments. E-mail feathersfoundationchristy@gmail.com for an invitation.

Thank you for your donation. It means so much to us and it means everything to the horses we save!

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
