 This year War On Hunger is participating in the West Lafayette Hunger Hike. This hike works somewhat like a walk-a-thon. You can donate any amount by clicking the Sponsor Now button. This fundraiser supports three of Lafayette's hardest working organizations that are making a huge impact on poverty and hunger; Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank, and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. WHO WE ARE:  

The War on Hunger Student Campaign is the only group at Purdue working to put an end to the devastating hunger epidemic around the world and in our local community.  We work closely with Lafayette Urban Ministry as well as the United Nations World Food Programme, which has provided aid for those in desperate need since the sixties, often risking or losing their lives to get food to victims of war and disaster.   

We are a growing group with the opportunity to make an enormous impact in the world, so join us in the fight against hunger!

When we learned that 36 million Americans go hungry, including 13 million children, we decided to do something about it. we're going to participate in the 2008 Greater Lafayette Hunger Hike on September 16, and we hope you will support us. We're excited to be a part of this annual effort which raises funds for three anti-hunger programs in our community: Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank, and St. Thomas Aquinas Haiti Committee. Any amount you can give will help!
