2011 Annual Mutt Mosey Fundraiser Walk

2011 Annual Mutt Mosey Fundraiser Walk

Just want to donate to the walk? Click on the "Fundraisers" tab above and donate to our director's page (Dawn Kemper) or any of our fundraisers' pages - leave a note to cheer them on! Thanks!

Grab your walking shoes and leashes and join Young At Heart Pet Rescue on October 1st for its 4th annual Mutt Mosey at the scenic Twin Lakes Golf and Recreation Area in Palatine, Illinois. Each step taken on the fundraising walk will benefit the animals of Young At Heart and bring the small, local rescue a closer to its goal of opening a sanctuary and adoption center for senior pets with nowhere else to go.

Online Registration is closed, but you can still register the day of the event! Walk up registration begins at 9am! Adults are $30 for day-of-walk registration and $15 for Junior walkers under the age of 18! T-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by September 15th. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 individual fundraisers. Congratulations to Cindy Rauscher! She won the Ipad2 for being the first person to raise $1500!!!

Your well-mannered pooch is welcome to join you for this event! He or she will enjoy the event as much as you! Please make sure it is up to date on his/her rabies vaccine, and on a leash no longer than 6' for everyone's safety. Extendable leashes must be locked at a 6' length. Dogs in heat are not allowed. We'll have poop bags available at the check-in table if you forget your own!

More of a Cat Person? You can still join us! We'll have a button-making station so our cat-loving friends can wear a photo of their feline- and we'll give our cat loving friends a "Meow Mosey" button, too!

In addition to meet-and-greets with some terrific adoptable YAH dogs, we’ll have a bake sale, dog training and agility demonstrations, vendors, a "pet rock" contest, live music by Brave Nu Soul – and even a kissing booth – so there will be lots of opportunities to show their support of the homeless dogs and cats that need us most.

So come on out, take a walk, and have some fun at the park. It's a great way to stay "young at heart" and help homeless senior pets at the same time!
