At the YMCA, no one is turned away because of inability to pay. In 2011, the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga, its seven member branches and residential camp touched the lives of over 40,000 individuals in the Tennessee Valley. Scholarships and membership subsidies totaling over $1.3 million assisted over 15,000 individuals and families. These subsidies were funded in part by contributions to the Strong Kids campaign by individuals, businesses, foundations and churches.
