Thank you for visiting the
Elmwood-Murdock Youth to Carnegie Hall
Fundraising page!
Thank you to everyone who has supported our community after the death of three of our treasured choir members, A.J. Washington, Dillon Synovec, and Tyler Eggert in a tragic car accident Sunday October 26, 2008. It is a very painful time for all of us and the support you have shown has not been overlooked. Prayers are needed for the families and friends of the newest voices in heaven.
The high school choir at Elmwood-Murdock High School has been invited to sing at the infamous Carnegie Hall in New York City. The date of the performance is Saturday May 23, 2009.
The choir has 66 members and what makes even more remarkable is that our entire high school only has a total of 120 students. Yes, you heard right, approximately 30 kids per graduating class, and yet we have more than a 50% participation in an award winning music program.
Because of the small school district and community we have a lot of work to do so that as many students as possible can attend. This website is only one of the ways we are raising money. But this could be our most successful as the power of the internet is tremendous!!
This trip will cost an average of $2,000 for each choir member and sponsor and we have a very short time to raise money to help defray the costs as much as possible. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, as most people never even have the opportunity to hear great musicians perform in this venue, much less have the honor of performing on the stage.
Help our students reach this amazing achievement in their lives by donating whatever you can afford. No amount is too little and it all adds up!! Imagine the impact of the viral networking on the internet and spread the word!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
We contrinue to work on off line donations with bake sales, T-Shirt sponsorships, concessions, split the pot, and various other activites. Many people have donated to a local memorial fund in memory of Tyler, Dillon and AJ which means a tremendous amount to the families and friends.
