The Run for the Zoo is a charity event that benefits the Lincoln Park Zoological Society and features a 5K Run, 10K Run, and 5K Walk. Participants who choose to run the event are chip timed and awards are given to overall male and female finishers, as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in age categories of 5-year intervals. United Airlines serves as the title sponsors, allowing for maximum proceeds to go back to the benefactor, the Lincoln Park Zoological Society.
