This three-day K-12 professional development experience helps teachers and administrators to understand the Student Assistance Program (SAP) process and at-risk students. Participants will learn how the three systems of education, drug and alcohol, and mental health join together to intervene effectively in the lives of students who are experiencing barriers to learning and who may be at-risk for drug and alcohol or mental health problems.

This training is designed to prepare individuals to join existing school SAP core teams and meets the requirements of the Commonwealth of PA Interagency Committee for SAP. A certificate of attendance and ACT 48 hours will be issued upon the completion of SAP on-site competency requirements.
