Mental Health First Aid - Adult Training
Understanding mental health issues can help you assist individuals in your professional and personal life to obtain help and achieve wellness. Mental Health First Aid - Adult will be held on Tues., June 6, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at TrueNorth Wellness Services, 625 W. Elm Ave., Hanover office.
You will learn:
- How to recognize warning signs and symptoms of major classes of mental illness such as anxiety, depression, psychosis, trauma, and addiction.
- Identify the risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems.
- How to effectively help someone experiencing a mental health crisis and/or developing a mental health problem.
- Be prepared! Mental health is everyone's issue; it does not discriminate against race, age, class, or ethnicity. One in five people will have a mental health disorder sometime in their life.
