Benefiting JETT FOUNDATION

In 2018 we are Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Gals for Cal Triathlon Team!

Gals For Cal is a group of women connected through friendship who are dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).  Our primary focus is to promote awareness of Duchenne and to improve all aspects of the lives of children with DMD by raising funds to be allocated to research and advocacy, clinical care, and adaptive recreation for Duchenne patients and their families.  In doing so, we aim to inspire others to get involved, and experience the friendship, strength, inspiration, commitment, physical fitness and acheivement that is the spirit of the Gals for Cal. We take pride in challenging ourselves while challenging Duchenne together!

On September 9th, the Gals for Cal will compete in our 10th triathlon together in the Women's Only Title 9 Triathlon in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.  In doing so, we are proud to once again fundraise to support the tremendous work of the Jett Foundation.  2018 fundraising efforts will directly impact the Duchenne community through the following programs;

  • Livin' Large Scholarships - I'm excited we will once again award scholarships to help support social, recreational and adaptive activities for kids affected by Duchenne in New England.
  • Jett Giving Fund successfully gifted 6 accessible vans, 2 starifts and a rotation bed in 2017. Gals fundraising efforts will help more families achieve their accessibility goals in 2018.
  • Jetting For Success is an exciting new program at Jett Foundation aimed at closing the achievement gap, and supporting our young people as they pursue a college education.
