The Run Baby Run Baby Ultra 2016

Benefiting BABY ALEX FOUNDATION

Welcome to The Run Baby Run Baby Ultra donation page!

On August 6, 2016, we will hold the third annual Run Baby Run Baby Ultra (www.runbabyrunbabyultra.com)! This run, covering 8 miles or 5K of back country roads and dirt roads, will make 1 loop up and around beautiful Lovell Lake in Sanbornville, NH. The race starts and ends at the Sanbornville Poor People's Pub. Every runner in the Baby Ultra has a suggested fundraising minimum of $250--in the comments section of your donation page, please indicate the name of the runner you are supporting. These funds will go toward funding the 2017 Baby Alex Foundation's Pediatric Brain Injury Grants and Patient and Family Support Projects.

Established in 2008, The Baby Alex Foundation (www.babyalexfoundation.com) has given over $300,000 in pediatric brain injury grants to some of the world's leading research institutions, to include Children's Hospital Boston/Harvard Medical School, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Massachusetts General and UC Davis Medical School. The Foundation provides grants for cutting edge pediatric brain injury research that proves to have the potential for a high impact on its target population. Because brain injuries are the leading cause of death and disability to anyone under the age of 25 in the US, this research is crucial. The Foundation is entirely volunteer run, which means that the vast majority of your donation will go directly toward research and family support.

In 2015, the Foundation opened its first Alex's Library at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center NICU in Farmington, CT. This library, with its comfy chairs and inspirational books, provides peace and hope to families whose babies are patients in the neonatal intensive care unit. We hope to eventually establish an Alex's Library in NICUs across the country.

Thank you for your interest in The  Baby Alex Foundation and The Run Baby Run Baby Ultra. Your donation will make a significant impact on the lives of our littlest athletes.
