Join us for a tail-wagging day when Dogs for the Deaf comes to town for its 23rd Annual Dog Walk. This years’ Dog Walk Theme is Super Hear-O-Dogs, where pooches of all sizes, shapes and colors with their human partners will be on hand for some fur raising fun!
When not watching the special demonstrations, participants can enjoy a 1-mile round trip walk to the Jacksonville Historic Courthouse and Jail Museum and lunch, along with a Super Hear-O-Dog costume and dog tricks contests, a poker walk, pet photos, raffles, pet adoptions, education booths, dog demonstrations, Kids Zone, cash and product prizes, venders and other fur filled activities.
What is a Pack?
Four (4) or more participants join together to create a Pack (team). Pack members get special benefits like their Pack name posted at the start of the walk route. In addition, Packs compete for Top Pack honors! In addition to a Pack team prize valued at over $400, the Pack raising the most funds in the walk will be given a Pack Victory Tent complete with special treats for the doggies and lots of food and bragging rights.
What are the minimum requirements to form a Pack?
To qualify for Pack benefits, Packs must commit to raising a minimum of $500 in donations as a group and each must be a registered participant. Pack member pricing is $25 per member. Sound difficult? It’s really not. It only takes eight (8) people who raise $75 each to meet the minimum goal. But you don’t need to stop there – why not invite more people? Collect bigger donations and compete for Top Pack prizes and honors.
