What is the Queen City Corporate Challenge?

The Queen City Corporate Challenge is a 30-day competition among participating executives in the Charlotte area to raise funds for Hospitality House of Charlotte (HHOC). Candidates raise funds for HHOC through personal online webpages that are customized for each candidate.

How does it work?

Queen City Challenge participants will be encouraged to raise a minimum of $1,000. The HHOC staff can work with you to set a realistic goal that will also inspire friendly competition. You can request donations from your network, plan fundraising events, promote your efforts on social media, and more.

What are the benefits associated with participating?

In addition to helping lodge families in medical crisis, all participants will receive:

  • Company logo listed on HHOC’s website during the months of February and March
  • Company will be highlighted as “Business of the Day” on HHOC’s Facebook page
  • Company logo and name listed in eNewletters during February and March (> 8,000 impressions)
  • Recognition in press releases and other media materials

Additionally, the Top 5 Fundraisers will receive:

  • ¼ page Charlotte Business Journal Ad (May 2016)

The Top Fundraising Executive will receive:

  • A prize package will be awarded to the Top Fundraiser along with a Traveling Trophy. The prize package may include but is not limited to restaurant gift cards, airline credit and other exciting prizes.
