The Hawaii Parkinson Walk is an annual fundraiser for Hawaii Parkinson Association (HPA) and helps raise awareness about Parkinson's disease and funds to support those living with Parkinson's and their caregivers in Hawaii. The Walk will be held Saturday, October 22 from 9am-Noon. This fun and FREE event is for all ages and abilities! It features a 3k walk, live entertainment, kid zone, health fair, exercises for all age and ability, and prizes to the top fundraisers. You can register individually or with a team.  Participants are encouraged to ask friends, family, classmates and co-workers to sponsor their participation in the event by making a tax deductible donation to HPA.

EVENT SCHEDULE: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2016 at Honolulu Hale Civic Grounds, 9am-Noon
9:00am: Registration, Community Resource Tent, Exercise Tent and Food Booths open! Food vendors, Bonfire Pizza Company and Rooted Catering, will have delicious breakfast and lunch items for sale. Mini Parkinson's-focused exercise classes held every half hour until noon in the tent behind the main stage (Smarty Dance, Tai Chi, Club Step and LSVT classes).
9:20am: Hula and other warm-up exercises begin on the stage - all are welcome to join in!
10:00am: 3k walk begins below balloon archway. Exercise Tent continues to feature alternate Parkinson's-focused mini-classes.
10:45am: Prize giveaways and top fundraisers announced from stage
11:00am: Live music on the stage
Noon: Mahalo for supporting us! Event ends.
NOTE: If you are volunteering, your shift start time will be arranged directly with the Volunteer Manager. Shift times vary with some beginning as early as 7am.
