Patrick Hutchins has been a resident of Knoxville since 2010. He grew up in Texas training and showing donkeys and mules in Western Pleasure and has had a love of equines all of his life. His wife, Katie, is an active competitor in Eventing with her horse Sirius Contender. He manages their small horse farm and is also a professional soccer referee.
Patrick has been a board member of Horse Haven for 6 years and served as Secretary for the last 4. He says, “Horse Haven is a wonderful organization that does fantastic work. It’s easy to get behind the issue of animal welfare. Horse Haven is recognized locally, regionally, and across the state for its impact in helping abused and neglected equines. Our success is only possible due to the commitment of our volunteers and the generous giving from our community”.
Patrick came at this opportunity to dance with some reluctance but finally acquiesced saying “I grew up winning ribbons for showing my ass, so why not do it as an adult to help such a great group”.
