Every year too many children suffer from hunger related illness and academic disadvantages. These are today’s children and tomorrow’s parents, workforce professionals and community members.

We envision a future with no hunger, where children attend school free from the stresses and physical impairments caused by a lack of food and nutrition. Kitchen on the Street is a faith based community partner purposing to eliminate local hunger by offering food assistance programs to the hungry and hurting. Our mission is turning hunger into hope…one child at a time.

THIS IS WHY WE HIKE.

The Hike for Hunger is a movement that unites passionate Arizonans. This movement is an opportunity to raise both awareness and necessary funds to eliminate hunger in our community.

  • Fierce athletic competitors test their speed, endurance and stamina by registering for the Wildfire CrossFit obstacle course and run.
  • Mild to moderately experienced hikers establish their personal challenge by their course selection and the speed by which they hike.

This event offers you a chance to compete against yourself, whether it be your personal speed on the obstacle course or by beating your personal fundraising goal.

THIS YEAR’S GOAL “FEED 5000” (30,000 MEALS)!

Wildfire CrossFit Obstacle Course registration fee is 100 meals ($75 minimum).

  • Hiker registration fee is 100 meals ($75 minimum).

Both registrations require a $25.00 fee online, the remainder of the funds can be paid during check-in or online via a personal fundraising page that you can easily create during registration. Kitchen on the Street is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization; donations are tax deductible as deemed appropriate by the IRS.

Team registrations available for fundraising competitors, obstacle course competitors compete individually.

Each $25.00 registrant receives a participant T-shirt; additional shirts available for $10

Paleo meals available, as well as global street food items.

Individual or team that raises 10,000 meals ($7,500) earns a volunteer event at KOS for 25 friends/competitors.
