Welcome to 4 Paws for Ability's FirstGiving donor page! Every day we are trying to find ways to expand our reach, in order to place more service dogs with children who need them.
Did you know that 4 Paws for Ability pledges to fundraise more than half the cost of a service dog for each applicant, while the applicant fundraises in their community for the other portion? For every single child we say yes to, we have to find between $23,000 - $43,000 to support each placement.
This money provides food and veterinary care for the dogs. It provides funds to keep the lights on (the training team really appreciates this). It covers the cost of a service dog in training vest and other supplies our puppy raisers need to be successful. It covers toys and treats, because puppies are not robots - they need love, exercise, and fun in order to work as hard as they do. It covers funding to ensure we have the proper staff to provide 24 hour care for these dogs, to train these dogs, and to take your phone calls about how to get one of these dogs for a child that you love.
Without your support, children would go without help. They would walk alone, struggle alone, and wish for a friend, but they would do it alone. If every person who visits our social media pages, meets a service puppy in training, knows a child seeking a service dog considered making a meaningful donation - we would not worry about how we will help these children. We would know because we have your support.
Consider making a meaningful donation today. For you that might be $5, or $25, or $250. Your donation will make incredible things happen.
If your donation is directly in support of a child or a specific program, please put that information in the box that states "Leave a comment with your donation".
