7th Annual 5k Walk/Run for Autism Awareness Month

Saturday, April 26, 2014

The Alpine Autism Center is hosting our 7th Annual 5K Walk/Run on April 26, 2014 at America the Beautiful Park. April is Autism Awareness month and this is your chance to show your support for this important cause. Autism now affects 1 in 50 children and that number keeps growing. Autism is Increasing, Autism devastates families, Autism is Treatable. We treat Autism. It is estimated there are over 1000 children in the Pikes Peak Region diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. There are an additional 300, or more, children with autism in our local military communities. Help us reach them!

Our goal is to raise at least $40,000 at this year’s event, but we need your help! Registration for an individual is $19 or for one family of four is $35. The registration price includes a t-shirt and goodie bag. There will be lots of exciting vendors to visit, and a kid’s race at 9:45am. Registration starts at 8:30 and the actual race begins at 10:00 a.m.

FirstGiving automatically sets up a fundraising page for you so all you need to do is get sponsors! There are prizes for the top fundraisers, so get started now and tell your supporters how important this is to you. We can’t achieve our goal without you.
