San Francisco Walk

Saturday, October 19, 2013

Seeing San Francisco in a whole new light.

The walk will begin at Gold Mountain Monastery in Chinatown and wend its way through to Japantown, stopping at temples along the way, and end in front of the San Francisco Zen Center. There will be photo ops at Grace Cathedral and the Japanese Peace Pagoda. Check out the photos from last year's Walk.

San Francisco has a rich Buddhist history. There will be opportunities to see beautiful shrines as well as beautiful views as we visit some of the city’s high spots (yes, there will be some hills to climb). Of course, the greatest opportunity of all is to express our compassion through helping the poorest of the poor around the globe.

People are encouraged to join-in or depart as they need during the 3.8 mile walk.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit San Francisco's Martin de Porres House of Hospitality.
