About Teach-A-Thon

The Teach-A-Thon is a public awareness campaign that educates the community both on the impact of teaching quality and on the work of The Education Fund in public schools throughout Miami-Dade County. Teach-A-Thon allows business professionals to experience firsthand one of our community’s most important jobs – teaching! While it’s not a career day, the Teach-A-Thon also will expose students to business professionals, and whole new worlds are revealed to them through the real-world application of subjects such as science, math, and reading.

Like any walk-a-thon, the Teach-A-Thon is both a messaging AND a fundraising campaign.  Fundraising is a critical component to the success of the Teach-A-Thon because the funds raised support both classroom grants for the participating teachers and their students and other programs of The Education Fund.
