Proper Walk

Wednesday, August 10, 2016

Proper Walk 2016, the 8th Adventure for a Cause, will be held in August of 2016.  10 Walkers will brave wild animals and the elements to raise money for the Makindu Children's Program, by hiking over 100 miles in the Northern Frontier District of Kenya.

A proper walk in Kenya is a trek of many miles over many days with an uncertain outcome.  Each Walker signs a waiver stating they understand the risks associated with a trek in the wilderness of Kenya, commits to raising $10,000 for Makindu Children's Program, and pays all of their travel and personal expenses.  A goal of $100,000 has been set for Proper Walk 2016.

All donations to the Proper Walk are tax deductible and made out to the Makindu Children's Program, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that funds an AIDS orphan centre in Makindu, Kenya.
