Moments of Joy Gala
For kids who don’t often get a chance to smile, it’s a place to laugh.
For kids who struggle to fit in, it’s a place to feel at home.
For kids who face daily challenges, it’s a place to discover joy.
That’s the vision that drove a small group of compassionate volunteers, led by Robin Rose and Tony Withers, to found The Miracle League of the Triangle over a decade ago.
Through the magic of baseball and love, kids with special needs would get to just be kids.
It’s been a time of impressive accomplishments:
Two specially built, fully-accessible fields
More than 500 special needs players
Over 1,000 volunteers, parents and coaches
A newly formed adult Miracle League
But the true rewards aren’t measured in numbers; they’re felt in the heart – when a parent describes our fields as a safe haven for their child. When a player rounds the bases for the first time and heads eagerly for home. When a child who’s always been told, “no you can’t,” finally hears, “of course you can.”
On Tuesday, October 17th, we’ll take the opportunity to look back – and look ahead. Our Moments of Joy Gala, hosted by David Crabtree, will be a fun, fast-paced evening that honors the work that’s been done, and sets new goals for the years ahead.
Please join us. Your support will enable much-needed player scholarships and ongoing programs that bring joy to so many families.
