FREEZIN' for a REASON for Special Olympics Utah
Special Olympics Utah is excited to host the 2018 Polar Plunge - Ogden at the North Shore Aquatic Center
The Polar Plunge is the “coolest” event of the year!
Last year, our brave athletes & community friends took the plunge in Utah. The best part? After their bodies returned to 98.6°F and the donations were tallied, they raised more than $11,000 for Special Olympics Utah to support sports, competitions and programs. Booyah!
Are you brave enough to take the plunge and get freezin' for a reason?
All proceeds of the Polar Plunge goes directly to benefit Special Olympics Utah athletes including those who participate right in Salt Lake County like the teams from U of U, Tooele, Panthers, Jaguars, Hartvigsen and many more!
Registration and Pre-Plunge Party: 8:30 - 10 AM
Polar Plunge: 10 AM
Individuals register online and pay the initial $10 registration fee. Each plunger must raise the remaining amount due:
If you don't want to register online, you are welcome to pay the full amount ($50/$30) the day of the event to take the plunge. Only pre-registered plungers are guaranteed an official 2018 Polar Plunge shirt. Day-of-event plungers will only receive an official Polar Plunge t-shirt if supplies last.
Teams are a group of your friends, family, classmates or co-workers who plunge together.
1. Click Register and select a team name
2. Assign a team captain
3. Register all team members (each individual must be pre-registered for $10).
4. Individual adult plungers raise or pay minimum of $40, students or SOUT athletes raise or pay minimum of $20 (same as individual registration).
Each plunger will have create a First Giving web page. Set a fundraising goal and ask your family, friends and co-workers to support you in this worthy cause.
