The Sjögren's Syndrome Foundation is excited to be hosting a Sjögren's Walkabout in San Diego on Saturday, November 4.
Come join us at the beautiful Embarcadero Marina Park North located in the Port of San Diego. The event will take place from 9am - 11am with registration beginning at 9am and the Walkabout stepping-off at 10am.
Sjö your support by attending the Walkabout, bringing your family and friends with you and/or creating your own personal fundraising page. This page is an ideal way to share your story, let others know why this cause is so important to you and why you are walking. It is also an easy way to ask family and friends to support your efforts. It is also a great way to connect with other patients in your area and realize you are not alone as you fight this disease!
Most notably, the SSF is proud to recognize Dona Frosio as a "Sjögren's Champion" at this year's event. Dona was co-leader of the San Diego & Imperial Counties Chapter of the SSF and the author of Sjögren’s Syndrome Self-Help Booklet: Tips for More Comfortable Living. Additionally, she served as a frequent guest speaker at patient support groups and national conferences providing practical tips for coping with the day-to-day symptoms of Sjögren’s. She has been a tireless advocate for patients, always willing to use her first-hand knowledge of the challenges of living with Sjögren’s to help others also living with the disease. We hope you'll join us to recognize Dona and this well-deserved honor.
