What is it?
The Walk-a-Dog-athon is a fundraiser for the 100% volunteer operated animal shelter in West Milford, NJ. Our shelter is recognized by the ASPCA as a “must-see animal shelter” for the amazing work the volunteers do, and the level of compassion and high quality of life provided for the animals in our care. Help us raise money for the homeless animals.
How does it work?
Registration is free. We ask a minimum donation of $10 per dog. The goal is to obtain as much as you can in donations from your sponsors. Walk with or without a dog, or have a relaxing day at home. Participation in the walk does not require you to walk any minimum distance or even walk at all. Remember, it's a fundraiser. Prizes are awarded to those raising the most money for the WMASS, as determined at the end of the day of the event. Anyone could be a winner! All participants in the walk will also receive a goody bag and bandana for their dog(s).
It's a fundraiser, so let's kick it into high gear with prizes for the highest totals!
We'll have contests for your pups...
Contest winners for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each category receive a gift bag & a medal.
Sponsor yourself, or ask friends and family to sponsor you.
