We had a great time Sept. 17 going Over the Edge for NNY!
Thank you to all of our participants and especially members of the Fort Drum Chapter of the Sgt. Audie Murphy Club. They were rope volunteers and did an outstanding job getting participants harnessed, roped in and roped out. We could not have done it without you!
We thank volunteers from the Watertown Family Y and the Youth Court of Jefferson County who helped us register participants and secure the building.
We thank the media for GREAT coverage and we thank the 38 people who raised money for our event. In looking at the number of donations that were made to us, that group produced nearly 450 donations! We had great support from the community AND we were honored to have two blind rappellers and one with cerebral palsy go Over the Edge as well. We will be looking for other people to show off their abilities when we hold this event again.
We already have more than 20 new people signed up for the next Over the Edge event -- and many of this year's rappellers said they are coming back. If you have the courage, we have the cause. Now we just need your email so get in touch with us soon!
And again we thank our many sponsors for making this event a success, including the reception on Friday night that was provided by the good folks of Savory Restaurant!
