The Amy Feiman Behar Foundation was created in 2007 to increase the early detection of breast cancer for uninsured and undersured women. Statistics show that the earlier the tumor is diagnosed, the greater the survival rate. There are 46 million uninsured people in the United States, at least half of them women. As they struggle to put food on the tables for their families, having a preventative procedure is not a priority for them. We want to help save them from the devastating effects of breast cancer -- and we need your support. Early detection is the best weapon against breast cancer -- early detection saves lives.
To date, The Amy Foundation has helped over 3,000 women throughout central New Jersey receive free screening measures to help detect breast cancer early, when it's most treatable.
