This Year’s Event Is Dedicated to Mary Ternullo
On September 17, the 10th annual A Reason to Ride event will honor a Beth Israel Deaconess cancer patient who received a successful stem cell transplant during her treatment for acute myeloid leukemia. Mary Ternullo, 73, lives in Plymouth. In 2016, three years after receiving the transplant at the Cancer Center at BIDMC, she visited her stem cell donor in Germany. She remains in good health, enjoys gardening and walking and plans to participate in A Reason to Ride’s 5K walk on September 17. “I’m thrilled to help raise funds for cancer research at BIDMC,” she says.
