2013-Scavenger Hunt for Autism

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

Scavenger hunts are great activities for any age, and this one at the Virginia Beach ocean front is a blast. There will be music, food, and plenty of prizes.

ALL proceeds benefit Camp Gonnawannagoagin’ for children with autism and EVMS autism research.

Check in at the 17th St. stage on the boardwalk (next to Dairy Queen) at 10:00

Hunt begins at 11:00 sharp, and ends at high noon. Awards will be announced at 12:30

Teams of 2 to 4 players compete to collect the most hidden puzzle pieces. Kids are welcome to participate, but this is a challenging hunt best suited for ages 16 to 60. So bring the kids but have at least 1 adult per team.

Each team member must raise $25 to play. Those who raise $50 will receive a long sleeve event tee! Participants that register as a team must also raise the equivalent of $25 per person ($50 for a team of 2, $75 for a team of 3, and $100 for a team of 4).

Prizes will be awarded for most money raised; team and individual.

There are also awards for best costumed individual and team so get creative and go wild!

Up to two children under 10 or two differently abled individuals may hunt for free and play with an existing team even if it makes the total number of members 6 players.
