What is Colors for Connor?

Colors for Connor is an annual fund raiser held in support of Connor's House on the last Saturday before Halloween to support families of children with life-shortening conditions.

Very simply, participants agree to color their hair – with temporary spray or longer-term at a salon – in return for gifts from family, friends and colleagues.

The goal is to have a large pool of participants raising $50, $100, $150 or more and collectively helping support the Connor’s House mission.

Why Participate?

There are two million children in the U.S. who suffer from life-shortening illnesses, nearly 400,000 of which require ‘round-the-clock care. More than 20,000 of these families live in the NY-NJ-PA tri-state area.

These families face incredible personal, familial and job stresses – and often failures -- because there are few, if any, accessible care and support services outside of institutional settings.  This complex, confusing and often contradictory care environment can overwhelm, and parents need advocates and supports not only for a better outcome for their children, but for their family as a whole.
