Cateran Yomp 2017

Cateran Yomp 2017

The Cateran Yomp is an epic adventure challenge.

Teams of between 3–6 people will take on 22, 36.5 or even the fearsome 54 miles in just 24 hours. The route takes you through some of the most remote and spectacular areas of Scotland on the Cateran Trail.

The AFF is once again facilitating the participation of a number of wounded US and UK soldiers in this event.

This is a chance for competitors to experience some of the UK's most remarkable scenery while raising vital funds to support the Allied Forces Foundation (AFF), Wounded Warriors fund, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and The Alliance Trust Staff Foundation.

Taking place on June 10, 2017, the Yomp will test the physical and mental endurance of the toughest athlete in remote parts of the Perthshire and Angus glens of the Scottish Highlands.

Allied Forces Foundation and 51 (Scottish) Brigade will provide logistics, accommodations, transport and events for the duration of the stay in Scotland. The trip will include visits to places of local interest, and Highland Games!

All teams will raise funds to support fellow wounded warriors in the USA and UK; this FirstGiving page has been estalished for those teams taking part under the auspices of the AFF.
