Hello! Thank you for visiting our Personal Fundraising Page. John and I are very honored to have been a part of Relentless for the last SIX years! This will also mark our forth year being a part of TEAM HOPE!
This year promises to be "extra" special for us since our two oldest boys will be lifting on the platform along with us! They have always traveled with us to powerlfiting meets, this time, they will be lifters as well! We are so proud of how they have taken the next step :-)
Hopekids presents opportunity for families, who are constantly going to appointments for their child's illness, to put fun events on their calender. There isn't a treatment or drug in the world that can bring more happiness to these families than the events provided by this organization.
Once a year, we team up with Hopekids for an event known as Relentless. In this event, around 100 powerlifters are selected to raise funds for Hopekids and also lift in an official UPA sanctioned meet to put on a show for the kids. The atmosphere during this event cannot be put into words. You just have to feel it for yourself. There is a connection between the lifters and the kids that is amazing. You would think that it is the lifters showing strength to the children. But it is quite opposite. Learning about them and watching them go crazy for the show teaches us lifters more about strength then you could imagine. We may be lifting hundreds of pounds, but the struggles these families endure with their child's illness show more strength than any weight ever lifted. It is truly humbling to be a part of Relentless.
This is why we ask you to join us in making a difference. Because the dollars you give go to a cause much larger than us. Giving Hopekids what they need to continue making the lives of these families much better.
