Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Next May, I plan to spend 5 days hiking in Israel, with new and old friends, from the Mediterranean to the Sea of Galilee. This experience will mean many things to me: a celebration of my 60th birthday (which admittedly, has already come and gone!), a much needed personal fitness challenge, and an expression of my hope and faith that next year Israel will be at peace.
Finally, it is a way of supporting Camp Ramah's programs for children and young adults with disabilities. Funds raised by past hikes have gone towards scholarship assistance for families in need, seed grants to camps to create more programs for children with disabilities, and staff training for the entire network of Ramah special needs programs. I've seen Ramah's special needs programs first-hand during the summers that I worked as a doctor at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin, and I am proud to be raising money for these excellent programs.
As a participant in this hike, I have committed to raise $2500, and am writing to ask for your help. Any amount you can give would appreciated, and would provide the gift of summer camp and vocational training for kids with disabilities.
Thank you in advance for your support!
