Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

This is my second year fundraising and attending Camp No Limits. My name is Madeleine and I am almost seven years old. I was born with a rare disorder called Fibular Hemimelia, in which my fibula never grew. When I was one years old I had my foot amputated so I could be fitted with a prosthesis.  I started walking when I was 17 months old and started running soon after that. In my short life I have accomplished a lot. I'm an excellent swimmer, I can ride a two wheel bike and have learned to ride a unicycle. I have been rock climbing and in my spare time I enjoy doing Parkour!

Even though I can do all these activities having a leggie (my word for prosthesis) is still hard. I'm the only kid at my school with one. Sometime the other kids don't understand it and ask me embarrassing questions. I really want to go to camp where there are other kids like me! I want my twin brother, Max, to come to so he can understand what it is like to be with kids who even though they are missing a limb there is no limit to what they can do!

I went to camp last year and it was life changing. I made new friends and learned new things. Mostly I felt comfortable just being myself. This year I'm raising money for my family to attend but we are also raising money for other kids who are less fortunate than us. There are many children that could benefit from camp and some cannot afford to go. Please consider donating in order to help a family have a life changing experience as well.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
