Climbing for the Children

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Mount Everest is the Earth's highest mountain, with a peak at 8,848 metres (29,029 ft) above sea level. It is located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas and the international border between China and Nepal runs across the precise summit point. It's original name in tibetan is Chomolungma which means "Holly Mother"

On April 2014 I will be joining Alpine Ascents with the objective to summit Everest. I will climb Everest in support of UNICEF an organization that works to overcome the obstacles that poverty, violence, disease and discrimination place in child’s path.

Inspired by the opportunity to provide a better life to many children across the world, the goal is to raise $ 250,000 in donations to support UNICEF.

In order to achieve this fundraising goal, I am asking you to help by making a donation to UNICEF. Your generous contribution will not only help UNICEF to achieve its mission but also will allow you and I to climb together; your name will be printed in an UNICEF flag that I will carry during the whole expedition, from base camp to the summit.

Please, help us donating via this page with a credit card. All donations are sent directly to UNICEF by FirstGiving, who will email you a printable record of your donation. No money goes to me or any member of the expedition.

Thanks for your generous and kind support.

I look forward to summiting Everest with you in May 2014.

Note: The YouTube video showcased in this page shows the summit day of Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind man that summited Everest. It is a personal inspiration for me and wanted to share the beautiful images captured during his summit day.
