Special Olympics has been a part of my life off and on for the last 14 years.  When I first started dating my future wife Trisha, her mom was a Special Education Teacher and was very involved with Special Olympics.  So one day she invited me to come watch a basketball practice and by the end of the practice I was the new Head Coach.  I coached those young men for six years and also continued to volunteer for the Summer and Winter Games.  We had some great experiences and have continued to stay involved in different capacities.  Recently, my mother-in-law was selected as the Director of Special Olympics for Washtenaw County so our involvement is going to ramp up again.

This Polar Plunge will allow her to raise the funds necessary to run the program and develop it further.  She is an amazing woman and is always giving of her time and her support.  She has helped countless students throughout her career and she always goes above and beyond to be there for everybody she knows.  Please join me in supporting her and this great cause.  My goal is to raise $2000 and I am confident I can reach that goal with your help.  50% of all donations goes to Washtenaw County Special Olympics and the other 50% goes to the State of Michigan Special Olympics.  Thank you for all your help.
