Remembering Jane By Raising Awareness of Lewy Body Dementia

I am fundraising in honor of my mother, Jane A. Cralle. She suffered from Lewy Body Dementia in the last years of her life and passed away on January 27, 2017. I hope to raise awareness about this form of dementia and promote research to eradicate it by helping support the Lewy Body Dementia Association.

The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the Lewy body dementias (LBD), supporting people with LBD, their families and caregivers and promoting scientific advances. The Association's purposes are charitable, educational, and scientific.

I intend to complete a half marathon in December 2017 (I have a LONG way to go before I'm ready to run 13.2 miles!), and I will be running in honor of my Mom. When my father died, we raised $4k through Team in Training for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and I did my first half in his honor. Although my half marathon isn't an officially sanctioned LBD event, I'm linking the two and hoping to raise at least that much in honor of my Mom.

Many thanks for your support.
