A personal message from the "RPD Supports Pink" Team Captain, Assistant Chief Chris Vicino:
“I am honored to be the RPD Team Captain for the ‘Pink on Parade’ walk, benefiting The Pink Ribbon Place of Riverside, as breast cancer has had a grave impact on my family. While my older sister survived, my mom and younger sister both succumbed after courageous battles with this dreaded disease. Having breast cancer so prevalent in my family gives me great concern for my daughter’s future health. Each year over 250,000 new cases of breast cancer are reported in the United States. This disease claims the lives of nearly 50,000 annually, 99% of them are women. Only lung cancer accounts for more cancer deaths in women. Please join me in this worthy cause to raise funds in order to provide assistance to the victims of Breast Cancer.”
—Christopher O. Vicino, Assistant Chief of Police, Riverside Police Department.
