Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I have been very fortunate to have had a safe and satisfying career in law enforcement for the past 27 years. However, other officers have not been so fortunate and have paid the ultimate price. These officers have been killed in the line of duty while protecting and serving their communities. Those officers never returned home to their families, friends, and loved ones. These people have suffered a great loss emotionally, physically, and financially.
The motto of the Police Unity Tour is “We ride for those that died”. I am one of 1800 riders selected to participate in the Police Unity Tour Ride in honor of those Officers who have been killed in the line of duty. The Police Unity Tour is a national non-profit organization, which supports the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
This year I will be riding in honor of fallen BART Police Sergeant Thomas Smith, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on January 21, 2014. I have known and am a personal friend of the Smith Family for many years.
I will be participating in the Police Unity Tour by riding my bicycle over 300 miles in honor of Sergeant Smith during the second week of May, 2014. I will be riding from Somerset, New Jersey to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC, in conjunction with National Law Enforcement Week. A candlelight vigil will be held at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in honor of all those officers who have died.
I have set a goal of raising $3,500.00 to honor Sergeant Smith and other officers who have been killed. You may help by making a donation through this site and/or forwarding this link to your family, friends, and colleagues. Each and every donation (Tax Deductible) is very important and will help me obtain my financial goal. Donations can also be mailed directly to me at the following address:
