Helping Children in Ecuador

Stephanie Seitz's Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

Though my family has been sponsoring Compassion children since I was around 6 years old, it is now that I'm realizing just how well this organization does at taking a holistic approach to ending poverty. I recently had the opportunity to hear more about how Compassion partners with local churches in poor areas to meet the needs of children, ensuring that they receive good food, water, education, and medical care, all the while sharing the gospel with them.

I would absolutely love to be able to sponsor a child with Compassion, but it's pretty hard as a college student with little income to be able to commit to long-term monthly giving. But I am so excited about how Compassion is making a difference in the lives of communities worldwide.

That is why I've decided to raise money for Compassion's Child Survival Program in Ecuador! Children can't be sponsored until they are four years old, and sadly many don't even make it to this age. The Child Survival Program reaches out to expectant mothers and mothers of young, at-risk children to give them the best possible chance of survival. Ecuador's poor mountain regions of Chimborazo, Bolívar, and Manabi have some of the highest rates of child malnutrition, and the funds that I raise will go directly to providing equipment for the program and training for these young mothers.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
