Jeanne Salacinski Memorial Fundraiser

Thank You For Visiting My Fundraising Page!

If you've found your way to this site because you know me, thank you for being a good friend and taking an interest in a cause that clearly means a lot to me.

If you landed on this site because you knew my mom or heard me speaking, well please know that she would be so grateful for your willingness to help.

If you've never experienced the loss of a parent or sibiling at an early age, it's OK because you're not alone. Please just know that Comfort Zone Camp can really make a profound impact on the path of such a child who might otherwise feel isolated or alone in the world.

I'm running in memory of my mom, the most giving and loving person I've ever known, Jeanne Salacinski. I'm also running for every mother, father, daughter, son, brother, sister, loved one and close friend who has in some way shared in the pain of a shattered family. Would you please help me, to help others, by making a difference in the life of a child? They never asked to enter the adult world at an early age...

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. The race is the Ukrop 10k in Richmond, Virginia on March 31st 2012. There's not a lot of time, and as always, I've set myself a very ambitious goal. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

"Comfort Zone Camp is an amazing organization that helps children between the ages of 7 and 17 deal with the challenges associated with loss of a parent or immediate family member. Numerous camps are organized throughout the year to help children afflicted with various stages of the grieving process. At camp they learn that they are not alone, they receive numerous opportunities to discuss their feelings, and for one extended weekend each year they can have fun and not have to feel like the "kid who's mom or dad passed away."
