This year I have a challenge, another challenge.  I will be running at Philadelphia, Pa for Running Strong for Indian Youth.  The venue is the Philadelphia Marathon/Half Marathon on 20 November 2011.

I have been a supporter of Running Strong for several years.  It is a very worthwhile charity that supports and encourages Indian Youth to step forward and improve their station in life through the commitment in athletics.  Billy Mills, Olympic 10,000 meters Gold Medalist, is spokeman and mentor to countless Native Americans in the field of running and achievement of personal goals.  Billy is an inspiration to the youth at Pine Ridge Reservation.

Please consider supporting me and this great charity with whatever you may feel comfortable.

I will keep an updated log til 20 November.    Thank you

Spent weekend in Washington, DC with wife and daughter. Snow???

Watched some of the Marine Corps Marathon for inspiration - also memories I did MCM in 1988 and 1989

Need to get this going just several weeks til Philly 2011

Last Sunday (10/30/2011) a group for Run Strong made up of runners from around the country ran in the Marine Corps Marathon raising funds for all sorts of good services for Native mericans.  My turn will come in two weeks at Philly.

Outstanding weather for a good run on this New York Marathon Day.  I did my workout in the AM when the birds were singing and the hawks were soaring.

Sunday a week, today a good long run in prep for 11/20.

Race Day - 11/20/2011

Finished the race in good style - enjoyed the crowds and the runners - lovely day

Thanks to all supporters
