2012 SUPER Plunge

Lake Michigan, Illinois

Becky Bogacz's Polar Plunge 2012 Funraising Page :)

Hey everyone! My name is Becky Bogacz. I'm a senior at Minooka High School and 17 years old! And this year, on February 24th 2012 I will be doing the Polar Plunge for my second time! I had such a great time last year, and I loved raising the money for Special Olympics Illinois! Those athletes are truly amazing people. Last year, I raised over $1,000 and that was so awesome to everyone who contributed! So this year, I'm going to try and kick it up a knotch and raise $1,500!

For those of you who are unfarmiliar with Polar Plunge, I will be plunging with some awesome people this year for Team Hawks, once again! All the money is going for Special Olympics Illinois! I will be jumping into the freezing water of Lake Michigan in the middle of February to show my support to these outstanding athletes! I'm really "Freezin' for a Reason!" and with your help and support, you could help me reach my goal money!

They say anyone with guts and a warm heart can take the plunge, and I am one of those people! I will be collecting donations from now until February to benefit over 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 4,000 athletes ages 2-7 of Special Olympics Illinois!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the LETR SUPER Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.

Thank you to all who have given me support in the past, and I hope to recieve the same support and even more! This is for such a good cause and I am so excited to plunge again this year!

This year, as last year, I will not only be plunging for the current athletes of Special Olympics, but the former athletes as well! Both of my Uncles have intellectual disabilities and their names are Jimmy and Joey! Those two were once involved with special olympics but they have retired being athletes, but they are still super important to me!

So what do you guys say? Let's help me raise money for Special Olympics Illinois this season! Thank you all so much :-)
