2012 SUPER Plunge

Lake Michigan, Illinois

Dave and Brook Klawitter's Page

You may question our BRAINS, but not our COURAGE...

Our TINMAN has a HEART of gold and we're asking you to share of a bit of your heart with us as we FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD to our goal of raising $10,000 for Special Olympics Illinois athletes.

This February, Dave and I will plunge into Lake Michigan 24 times in 24 hours to benefit Special Olympics Illinois!

Your donation will help provide the nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 6,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.

Please take a moment to watch the video (below our Halloween picture) of Jack's first speech and hear from him why Special Olympics is important.

"Hi, I am Jack. I am 5. At Special Olympics, I love to kick a ball and hit a ball. I love Special Olympics. Thank you!"

For those of you that enjoy knowing that your donations also generate additional humiliation on our part, we’d be willing to take requests or recommendations for costumes to be worn during any of the 24 plunges. Of course, the higher the donation, the more we’ll consider the recommendation. We will have pictures!

Please don’t forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.

Thank you! Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
