Airline Ambassadors is a Cruise4Haiti non-profit partner
Cruise4Haiti is a social media inspired fundraising and humanitarian aid event culminating in a cruise. Cruise4Haiti sails on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas roundtrip from Miami on November 14, 2010. The cruise is created by Carrie Finley-Bajak , Rich Tucker, and Nancy Schretter. These travel industry veterans created the fundraiser in response to the earthquake in Haiti.
Proceeds from each cabin booked into the Cruise4Haiti group will be distributed to the Cruise4Haiti non-profit partners. If you can't join us, please consider a donation to one of our charities. Cruise4Haiti is supporting two 501(c)3 non-profit organizations who have been active in Haiti since well before the earthquake,Airline Ambassadors International and For Haiti With Love. On this page, you can donate to Airline Ambassadors.
has been working in Haiti for 12 years. They are committed to continuing the development work in Haiti throughout the post-earthquake rebuilding process. Airline Ambassadors is currently developing several new programs in the capital of Port-au-Prince and in the Central Plateau region of the country.
What does Airline Ambassadors accomplish in Haiti?
Airline Ambassadors leads monthly missions to Haiti in order to stimulate the local economy and tourism as a means for economic development and to build community between our volunteers and those we visit and serve. By returning to the same projects we hope to create a model for sustainable support and to strengthen the personal bonds we’ve created. In the central town of Mirebalais we have established a community clinic, built a water filtration system and a virtual classroom, and laid the foundation for the first of 160 permanent homes for displaced earthquake refugees from the capital in conjunction with the U.N. stabilization mission, MINUSTAH.
In Port-au-Prince we are transporting musical instruments for the Trinity Music School, soccer balls and uniforms for L'Athletique soccer program, pallets of soap and supplies for two orphanages and tent camps, and backpacks for kids going to school.
By contributing to our work in Haiti you will be directly involved in this rebuilding process. For every $1 donated we are able to leverage the donation of $11 worth of aid.
