Help Rescue a Hound Dog
CONGRATULATIONS TO ANNIE FLYNN FOR WINNING THE QUILT WITH TICKET NUMBER 0247031. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO BOUGHT TICKETS AND SUPPORTED OUR RESCUE WORK!
Help Basset Rescue of Old Dominion rescue more hound dogs in 2017!
This beautiful quilt was handmade by BROOD member Barb Lingham and donated by an anonymous BROOD supporter. It measures 52 by 52 inches and is a nice size throw for the couch—or use it as a wall hanging to show your love for basset hounds.
It has seven bassets on it, along with dog paws and bones, using a variety of fabrics. Each hound and paw print is drawn and cut out by hand and then machine appliqued using a satin stitch. The machine quilting on the quilt is called Puppy Playground with words (woof, good dog, bow wow, sit, fetch), balls and dog bones stitched into the design. This unique quilting design makes this quilt extra special.
The quilt is made from 100% pre-washed cotton fabric, poly batting and a light colored print for the back. The binding is double folded for wear and machine sewn on. It can be machine washed and dried.
Raffle tickets are only $10 each and you can purchase as many tickets as you want. Please also consider covering the fees that are deducted by FirstGiving. You will see this option at the time you buy your tickets. This will enable us to rescue even more hounds!
Tickets must be purchased by midnight Eastern on Friday, February 10. The drawing for the quilt will be held on Saturday, February 11 in the afternoon and posted on this FirstGiving page and on the BROOD Facebook page.
You will receive an email with your ticket numbers after your purchase, and the winner will be notified by email. The quilt will be sent to the winner via Priority Mail.
