Thank you for visiting my fundraising page benefiting The Ronald McDonald House of Nashville.
In June of this year my wonderful niece Lorelai was born in Sebring, FL. Unfortunately, she suffered several respiratory complications and just 24 hours after coming into the world, she was transferred two hours away from home to Florida Hospital for Children. She stayed in the NICU for 10 days, receiving treatment for pnemonia and a partially collapsed lung.
Thankfully, because of the Ronal McDonald House of Orlando, my sister, brother-in-law and mother were able to stay by Lorelai's side through the whole ordeal at NO COST to them. Without this organization, I know this stressfull and frightening situation would have been so much worse for my family.
In an effort to give back, I am raising money to support the RMH here in Nashville so that another family who may be in the same situation as mine will be welcomed and cared for while their baby is being looked after at Monroe Carell Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
I, along with two colleagues from my office -- Penny and Blake -- ran a 5K on Saturday, September 15th, in honor of Lorelai. All three of us finished in 33 minutes or less. It was an amazing day, being surrounded by 600 other people with connections to a RMH.
Though the race has passed, I will continue to collect donations for many weeks after, so give when you can. Any amount helps.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks from me and Lorelai for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
